FOUNDED IN 1929, JCS ARCHITECTS IS THE LONGEST-PRACTICING ARCHItectural FIRM IN THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA.
Our firm has been in business since Jesse W. Wessinger established the first architectural firm in Lexington County in 1929. He was joined in 1959 by John Drafts (Wessinger & Drafts) and in 1970 by Craig Jumper (Drafts & Jumper Architects).
In 1991, Joel M. Carter and L. Todd Sease became principals and began to work towards strengthening our historic foundation through a continued focus on client relations and collaborative design practices. In the last ten years, Jumper Carter Sease Architects has increased in size through a steady workload increase and through the addition of young talented professionals who are enthusiastically committed to furthering our firm’s mission and growth. We attribute our success to our commitment to providing quality design with unparalleled service to our clients, many of whom are repeat clients.
