Pritchardville Elementary is beautifully positioned among the trees of a 25 acre wooded site in Bluffton, SC. The project team focused on developing a facility that is sustainable, efficient, durable and cost effective. The school district challenged JCS to create a design that could become a flexible prototypical standard for the district. The resulting building is organized around a central hub and is easily adapted for specific needs that may arise in later applications. The design of this LEED Silver school emphasizes daylighting and state of the art HVAC, lighting fixtures, and networking in order to provide students with a safe, innovative, and healthy learning environment.
