Riverbanks Zoo & Garden - New Entry Buildings & Animal Habitats
The design for Riverbanks Zoo’s new entrance showcases a complete transformation of the visitor experience for the Southeast’s largest gated attraction. Replacing a formerly cramped and outdated space, the new entry facilities help to better serve and accommodate the zoo’s over one million annual guests. Design elements include a landscaped plaza and entry gates, a pedestrian bridge, a guest services and ticketing facility, a new gift shop, and three new animal habitats. Combined, these new structures create a dynamic and welcoming image.
