Sweetgrass Campus:
Jennie Moore Elementary School & Laing Middle School

A thoughtful collaboration between owner and design team resulted in a campus that unites the schools to each other, the historic Mt. Pleasant environment, and the current growing community. The campus is comprised of an elementary school focusing on the creative arts and a middle school that begins to integrate STEM goals. Despite these different focuses, the leaders for these schools came together for this project, enabling the overall design to provide a complete, holistic learning experience for its students, maximizing the potential for student collaboration and learning.
The Sweetgrass Campus received the 2016 Honor Award for Architectural Excellence from the South Carolina Association For Learning Environments.
